shot to the wounded

From time to time I feel the temptation to write an emo piece of literature. Why? I don't know. I'm not emo. But here you go :)

this piece is fiction.
p-----t week
now you think it has given you a wealth of experience. you think it has opened up your mind, to see the world, to be touched by many friends and families across the petty Earth we stand on.

true.

what it has also given you is a week. a week where, at the end, you achieve the time to step back and reevaluate yourself. time is not money, time is thinking. if five minutes is a break, a week is a full stop where you can really look back on the threads weaving your life.

a time where, the people who remember to talk to you are perhaps the people you want to keep. the rest, well its really up to you isn't there? you start to feel distant in these kind of situations. your connections dry up. you realize that, perhaps you were just been nice to because... you were there and were the only one to be nice to at the time.

not because you were someone special, or as you'd like it, had made some special connection with the person you had spent hours with talking on msn, or on the phone, or by texting.

periods of rest like these can make and break friendships.

sometimes the signal that comes up for me, as it does now, tells me to step back. understand the fine border between obsession and reality, come to understand who you really are in your circle of friends.

when I step back I realize, that I am meaningless.

and therefore I two steps back and none forward. there is no reason to push yourself into worlds where... you are not needed. a waste of space. it is better for the individual to search for something else, to find somewhere else where the individual may call home.

now all of this may seem nonsensical to you.

but to the reader more shot than you'll ever know... hell, let's see if you can fit your feet.
